May I Check-In Early/Check-out Late?
Check in time is after 2:00 PM.  Check out time is by 8:00 AM.  During peak season (summer) no early arrivals or late departures can be made.  During off peak season (spring & fall) check in time may be earlier and check out time may be extended, if at all possible, with prior approval only.   

What items are included with the cabin?
The cabins have a refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, pots, pans, dishes, utensils,  gas heater, ceiling fan (NO A/C).  The resort supplies dish soap, coffee filters, garbage bags, blankets & pillows (sheets can be provided at $6/bed or feel free to bring your own).  Note: No towels (kitchen or bath) or paper products are provided.

What amenities are included with my cabin?
There is a charcoal grill & table and chairs or picnic table outside of each cabin.  Each cabin has a television that picks up a limited number of LOCAL channels.  There are NO phones or computer hookups in the cabins.   There are life jackets, boat cushions, paddle boats and a canoe free for our guests to use.   A 14' aluminum rowboat is avilable with advance notice. Lake maps are available free at the lodge.

Is WIFI avilable in the cabins?
Free WiFi is available in the resort within a limited distance from the lodge and the password is available upon request.

What do I need to bring?
Depending on your needs you may consider bringing coffee, creamer, sugar, paper towels and or napkins, toilet paper (septic friendly), bath & beach towels, aluminum foil, charcoal & lighter fluid, ice, extra firewood for campfire and personal items.

May we bring our pets? 
Pets are welcome with advance notice and there is a $15/night or $65/week extra charge per pet. (Please review our pet policy).

What cabin cleaning guidelines are expected upon departure?
The condition of the cabin when you leave is taken into consideration when you request future stays.  
Here are things you can do to help us out.
1. Remove dirty sheets pillow cases and put in a pile.
2. Wash all dishes and put away.
3. Empty and wipe out refrigerator, microwave, oven.
4. Wipe off counter, table and stove.
5. Sweep or vacuum the floor.
6. Separate, bag and take all trash. (Garbage/recycling cans are conveniently located behind Cabin #3 Lakeshore).
7. Remove cold charcoal ashes from grills.  

Does each cabin have its own Campfire Pit?
Cabins do not have individual campfire pits.  The main campfire area is in a central location and guests can help themselves to free firewood next to fish house. 

May I smoke in the cabin? 
All of our cabins are 100% NON SMOKING.  You may smoke outside the cabin and cigarette butt cans are provided.

Where can I buy groceries, do laundry, and get fishing licenses & bait? 
There are several grocery stores, laundromats,  and bait shops nearby in the Minocqua/Arbor Vitae area

What kind of environment can I expect at Wihega Resort? 
We want everyone to enjoy an incredible stay and experience.  As such, we ask that guests respect each other in sustaining a quiet, relaxing atmosphere where fun is the ultimate goal.  We will not tolerate loud music, raucous partying or other noise or nuisance that disturbs the comfort and quiet enjoyment of others.  The resort facilities are designed for the enjoyment of our registered guests we do not allow "outside" visitors.  The resort will not be responsible for accidents or injury to our guests or liable for guests personal property.

What are the Pet Policies? 
We allow pets with prior approval with an extra charge of $15/day or $65/week (non-refundable).  Your pet must be on a hand held leash and you are responsible for cleaning up after your pet.  Your pet shall not be left unattended in the cabin unless crated.  Please cover up all furniture and beds to reduce the need for excessive cleaning.

What do you require for a deposit? 
A deposit of $250 per week or 50% on less than weekly stays is required to reserve the cabin.  Reservations may be cancelled without notice if deposits are not received within 10 days of booking a new reservation.  The balance is due at check-in cash or check (sorry NO credit cards).    

What is the Cancellation Policy? 
All reservation deposits and payments are non-refundable.  If you need to cancel for any reason we will issue a credit for the deposit if we can fill the reservation and you will have an opportunity within 1 years time to reschedule with the credit.  No refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
